Taylor-Burton Diamond

Taylorburtondiamond

The love affair between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor created as much interest in the 60's and 70'as Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie do today. Their affair began in 1963 during the filming of Cleopatra, which lead to two marriages between the stars, one from 15 March 1964 to 26 June 1974 and the other from 10 October 1975 to 29 July 1976.

Burton gave Taylor many famous gems, but by far the most famous diamond he gave her was the 69.42 carat pear shape diamond necklace later to be known as the Taylor-Burton Diamond. This version of the Taylor-Burton Diamond is made from clear cubic zirconia and weighs 50 grams, that's 7 carats. A perfect way to emulate old Hollywood style.
